1. Read Mosiah 17:1-10. Why did Alma believe the words of Abinadi, when no one else in Noah's court did? How many days did King Noah and his "priests" deliberate on Abinadi's fate? Why wouldn't Abinadi recant his testimony?

2. Read Mosiah 17:11-20. How did his priests revive Noah's anger against Abinadi? List the prophecies Abinadi uttered against Noah and his priests.

3. Read Mosiah 18:1-7. After Alma fled from the servants of King Noah, what did he do first? After this, what did he preach?

4. Read Mosiah 18:8-20. List our part of the baptismal covenant, as explained by Alma. How did he know this? What did Alma instruct the newly ordained priests to teach?

5. Read Mosiah 18:21-35. How did Alma's flock become the children of God? How many souls were there in Alma's congregation when they fled the king's army?

6. Read Mosiah 19:1-15. Why did Gideon spare the life of King Noah? Why might he have regretted that decision, based on Noah's subsequent commands?

7. Read Mosiah 19:16-29. How did Noah die? What role did deception and disloyalty play in his demise? What was the cost of peace for Limhi and his people?
