1. Read Alma 13:1-12. According to Alma, how and why are priests ordained?

2. Read Alma 13:13-31. Who was Melchizedek? How was Melchizedek a "type" of Christ?

BONUS: From Alma 13:27-29, what must we do to enter into the "rest of God"?

3. Read Alma 14:1-13. Why were many of the people of Ammonihah angry with Alma and Amulek? Why did Zeezrom come to their defense? Why didn't Alma exercise his priesthood to save the believers from a fiery death?

4. Read Alma 14:14-29. What do we know about the judges, lawyers, priests and teachers who mocked and abused Alma and Amulek? When and what did the people begin to fear?

5. Read Alma 15:1-19. How and why was Zeezrom healed? What did Amulek lose? What did he gain?

6. Read Alma 16:1-11, Alma 25:1-3. Alma 25:1-3 gives us an idea of why the Lamanites, after a few years of peace, attacked Ammonihah. How much of Ammonihah was destroyed? What lessons might we take from Zoram?

7. Read Alma 16:12-21.How did the Nephites build a Zion society? What were the results of this society among the people?
