ANOTHER WITNESS OF CHRIST

In the gospel of John, Jesus spoke of himself as the Good Shepherd. During this profound discourse in Palestine, the Savior said, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd" (John 10:16). The Book of Mormon tells the story of a group of Christ's "other sheep," a remnant of the house of Joseph on the American continent. Ancient prophets among these lost sheep bore moving witness of the Lord's ministry among them. Likewise, prophets today testify of the Savior's life and work. Our study this year will focus on the testimonies of prophets, ancient and modern, who bear solemn witness of Jesus Christ.

This website offers study guides for approximately the first third of the Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi - Omni, or the small plates of Nephi. For study guides relating to the next third of the book, please visit our website for 2016-17 by clicking here.

"The Principal and commanding figure in the Book of Mormon, from first chapter to last, is the Lord Jesus Christ. In its unparalleled focus on the Messianic message of the Savior of the world, the Book of Moron is rightly referred to as God's 'new covenant' with the house of Israel."
