1. Read Exodus 39:33-43 with footnotes 33b, 34a, 36a, 38a, 39a; Exodus 40:34-38. List the parts of the tabernacle and its furnishing listed in these passages. How did the people know they had made a fit offering to the Lord?

 

 

2. Read Leviticus 1:1-13 with footnotes 1c, 3c, 5a, 10a; Leviticus 20:7-8, 22-27. How did the description of ritual animal sacrifice in Leviticus 1:1-13 teach Israel about the atonement? From Leviticus 20:7-8, 22-27, what were all God's laws intended to do?

 

 

BONUS: Read Numbers 15:37-41; Numbers 16:1-5 and 26-50 with footnote 40a; Numbers 21:6-9 with footnote 6a. From Numbers 15, why did the Lord command the children of Israel to put fringes on the borders of their garments? From Numbers 16, what caused the earth to swallow Korah and his followers? 

 

 

3. Read Deuteronomy 6:1-15 with footnotes 1b, 8b, 9a; Deuteronomy 7:1-15 with footnotes 5b,c,6a, 11a, 13d. What did the Lord ask Israel to do as a token of their covenant with Him? Why did the Lord choose Israel and call them His?

 

 

BONUS: Read Deuteronomy 29:1-13 with footnotes 3a, 5a; Deuteronomy 30:1-10. How did the Lord through Moses remind Israel of their covenants with him? Could Israel say they did not know what the Lord expected of them? 

 

 

4. Read Joshua 1:1-18 with footnotes 4c, 10a, 11a,b. What did the Lord promise Joshua? What was asked of Joshua? of all Israel?

 

 

5. Read Joshua 3:1- Joshua 4:9, with footnotes 5a, 16b,c, 41a. How did Israel prepare to cross into the promised land? What sign did the Lord give Israel, to assure them that he would go with them into battle? What was required as a reminder?

 

 

6. Read Joshua 7:1-13 with footnotes 1a, 5a,b, 9a, 11b; Joshua 8:30-35 with footnote 35a. Why didn't the Lord give victory to the armies of Israel? What did Joshua do to remind the people of their covenant with the Lord?

 

 

7. Read Joshua 23:13-16 and Joshua 24:1-16. What happens if we forget God? How can we show the Lord we remember Him and honor Him?
